On this Christmas Day, it seems fitting to reminisce a little about Taylor’s and my two-wheeled adventure as roughly two months have passed since we made it back home.
Granted, not a day passes that I don’t think about this most amazing trip of my life and what it has taught me. However, I have not taken the time to expose any of these thoughts on here, for all to see. I’m just going to blame my most intense shift into winter for that. Really, I now spend so much time on my skis that one might wonder if I’ve ever biked at all.
Well, I have. Let me tell you, strong biking legs make for equally strong skiing legs – quite practical.
But I digress. What I wanted to share, as a sort of final (and very, very belated) trip update, are a few statistics about our big bike tour. Who doesn’t love numbers, right?! You’re welcome. Merry Christmas!
In earnest, though – I think that providing a few numbers makes it easier to wrap one’s head around the reality of this adventure and how far we’ve actually gone. All in all – a good summary.

There we have it – this is what the biking adventure looks like compressed into numbers. Obviously, these reflect my side of the story a bit more; especially when it comes to my maximum speed. I have to claim that one as strictly my own…
As I finish writing this, I can feel a slight sting in my heart; a longing to pack my bags and jump back on the saddle. As much as making this little numerical summary of this adventure strengthens a certain feeling of closure, it also fortifies my desire to do embark on such an adventure again in the future.
